Digital Production Control - 01.06.07 The Project Express Tab - DPC

The Project Express Tab provides access to the Project Express file management utility. Project Express allows estimators to easily send and receive project information between the Project Manager and Foreman. A current Maintenance Subscription with On Center Software is required to use Project Express. See Related articles for more information.

The Project Express Tab opens to the most recently used view. For example, if the Outbox was the last selection, Project Express opens with the Outbox selected on the next visit (until the program is closed/reopened).

Both the Inbox and Outbox show information for each file that you send or receive such as the date and time it was uploaded, who it is from, the filename, and size.

The Digital Production Control Project Express Tab is how you access the utility for sending and receiving project updates

Warning

DPC Change files must be imported in the order they are sent from the Foreman's machine (oldest to newest) or information will be lost. See Related articles for detailed instructions on sending and receiving bid updates to avoid any lost work.

The User can use the Context Menu to toggle on/off the display of previously downloaded files as well as download the selected file. You can also download a Project Express file by double-clicking the file in the Inbox.

Before you send a job to the field, there are few housekeeping functions that need to be done. See the next Chapter for details on prepping your job for DPC.
