The first nine of the Template tab buttons are split buttons, meaning they have two functions. The top half of each of these eight buttons allows you to create new Folders, Items, Areas, Linears, Segments, Counts, Assemblies, Parts, and Types; the drop-down half of the buttons create each of the preceding items as Sub-Items. (Note that once items are created and then further modified, the items can be copied and pasted to save the user time in making further modifications, rather than starting from scratch with new items for each new template.)

The top half of the New from Type button opens the New from Type window, which allows you to select a type for a new template.

Advanced users can also turn on the Types tab from within the Settings tab. (Caution: using and customizing Types is for advanced users. We highly recommend purchasing a for accelerated learning and faster customization.)
