New Features

Changes

  • You can now split an area takeoff object that includes backouts (although you cannot split a backout) - OST - 09.02.01 Splitting Linear Segments and Area Takeoff Objects

  • We've adjusted the default Options to make onboarding new users a better experience; see OST - 19.02 Program Options - General Tab (Adjusting How You Work with OST) for more information.
  • OST 3.98.14 Options dialog - General tab
    • Changes:
      • Uncheck "Restrict lateral movement of linear objects"
      • Check "Allow adding new page from Image tab"
      • Uncheck "Enable auto dimension lines"
      • Check "Enable Intelligent Paste"
  • Improvements to Takeoff Boost
    • Wall Types processing speed approximately 8-10 seconds faster.
    • Wall Types accuracy improvements on wall types labels.
    • Net Area accuracy improvements on floor plans. Visually more accurate net area
  • June 2024 Takeoff Boost improvements
    • (The Takeoff Boost improvements are cloud-based so users of 3.98.10.x and newer will benefit from them.)

Fixes

  • When running Takeoff Boost in an OST/QB Interactive Bid, the Boost Conditions sync but the quantities did not update (TE-4263)
  • Adding a large number of images (~100) using Auto Add or Insert New Image Page does not update Plan Organizer in Cover Sheet and can cause the application to freeze (TE-4777)

Known Issues

No new Known Issues in this version, these are carried over from previous versions:

  • ART3-4307 - Drawing Named Views on both the Image Window and Annotations and View Window and attempting to duplicate a name shows message and saves NV without name
  • ART3-4308 - Removing annotations in the Image window when the Annotation and View window and View window are open does not update properly
  • ART3-4309/TE-6408 - Drawing takeoff in the Image window is not reflected in the Annotation and View Window or View window
