How to create custom Hatch Patterns for use with PlanSwift

This tutorial explains how to do this using Photoshop as the image editor. You can use other programs such as GIMP or MSPaint as well.

Image editing software is not provided by nor supported by PlanSwift/ConstructConnect.

  • Open your image editing software and create a new file
  • Name the file Cross Hatch
  • Set the file width and height to 25px by 25px
  • Press OK
  • Zoom in on your drawing a bit (CTRL +)
  • We are going to want to make this graphic seamless: meaning when you align two of these images next to each other, all of their edges match
  • Create a New Layer(CTRL+SHIFT+N)
  • Turn on the Ruler(CTRL+R)
  • Drag two guides (one horizontal and one vertical) out of the center of the drawing
  • Select the line tool and set your color to black
