Symptom

You attempt to create an interactive bid, but receive an error message indicating you do not have sufficient rights to create a bid.

Cause

This is caused by one of the following situations:

Quick Bid is not authorized, activate a valid license in OST and Quick Bid.
You have filtered the Quick Bid Bids Tab - this causes On-Screen Takeoff's attempt to create the bid to fail.
The user logged into Quick Bid (if logins are required) does not have rights to create bids.

Verify that Quick Bid displays 'QB' in the bottom right corner of the application, indicating it is licensed. See Licensing On-Screen Takeoff, Quick Bid, and Digital Production Control for more information.
Return to Quick Bid and remove all filters from the Bids Tab (Project Name, Estimator, etc.). See Quick Bid - 02.01 The Bids Tab - Bid Organization for more information.
