Employees are any person associated with estimating, tracking, or working on a project. This includes Project Managers, Foremen, and Work Crew (job site laborers).
Your Project must be assigned a Project Manager and at least one Foreman on the Cover Sheet.
Adding an Employee
- Click Master > Employees
- Click "New" to add an employee
- Enter the following information in the Employee Detail screen:
- First and Last Name
- e-mail address (no apostrophes allowed) required for Project Manager and Foremen
- Employee Number (must be a unique number and cannot be changed if employee is set as Project Manager of Foreman in any Project in the database)
- Payroll Class
You only need to add an employee once - after you add an employee to the Master Employee list, you can use them in any Project in the database.
Adding a single employee using the method above is alright, but if you need to add numerous employees, follow the instructions in the next article to import an Employee List.
