On the Estimating Tab, you’ll find options to add New Items, Takeoff Items, Assemblies, Parts, and Types.

The New Item button allows you to add a new item or material to your estimate. By selecting the bottom portion of the button you can add a new sub-item.
- Click the New Item button - the Properties - [New Item] opens
- Fill in all the details for this new Item
- You can update information about the item directly on the estimate table by selecting the cell you want.
You can also create other template items as well:
- New Area creates a new Area Takeoff Item that you can edit
- New Linear creates a new Linear Takeoff Item that you can edit
- New Segment creates a new Segment Takeoff Item that you can edit
- New Count creates a new Count Takeoff Item that you can edit
- New Assembly creates a parent Item that you can place parts in to affect a piece of takeoff
- New Part creates a Part that can be attached to a takeoff to add other properties or values
