The General section of the Settings Tab allows you to make several choices about your overall settings in PlanSwift.

| Automatically open the last job when PlanSwift opens | When checked, PlanSwift automatically opens the job you had open the last time you closed the program. When unchecked, PlanSwift opens to a blank Home Tab. Default: Checked |
| Automatically open the first page of a job when opening | When checked, PlanSwift opens to the first page of a job when you open it. When unchecked, PlanSwift opens to the last used Page of a Job when you open it. Default: Checked |
| Automatic jump to the last view when opening a page | When checked, PlanSwift automatically opens to the last view you had open the last time you had a job open. When unchecked, PlanSwift automatically opens to full-page view when you open a job. Default: Unchecked |
| Use Internet Explorer Proxy Settings | When checked, PlanSwift uses the proxy settings from Internet Explorer for the network address of the intermediary server used between the browser and the Internet. |
| Automatic License Deactivation | When checked, PlanSwift automatically removes its license when you exit the program. You will need to reactivate it next time you launch the application. Default: Unchecked You can turn off confirmation prompts, too. |
