PlanSwift makes it easy to send takeoff and estimating data to Microsoft Excel. Data between PlanSwift and Excel is managed in three key ways:
- Exported to Excel using the Export to Excel
- Imported from Excel using Excel Import Tool Plugin
- Live-linked with Excel using PlanSwift's Integration with Excel feature
Besides easily being able to Export data to Excel, PlanSwift's Integration with Excel provides the ability to live-link to and update Excel workbooks in real-time, initiate and add to PlanSwift takeoffs, navigate easily from Excel takeoff values to PlanSwift takeoff values, assign multiple properties to a single takeoff, export Excel templates from Excel back into PlanSwift, and unlink a job. This functionality is provided via a PlanSwift Ribbon-bar Tab and via a Right-click Menu.
The PlanSwift Ribbon-bar Tab is visible once PlanSwift is installed and Excel is started.

- Click on the PlanSwift Ribbon-bar-Tab so that the PlanSwift Ribbon- bar icons are visible.
