There are four sounds the program uses to signal Accepted Points, Rejected Points, Deleted Object, and Completed Object. Default sounds already exist and are assigned to each event, but you can change these to custom sounds.
Setting Sounds
- Click Tools > Options > Sounds
- Click on the Lookup
button for the event to change the assigned sound
- The Add Sound window opens - browse to the location where the new sound file is stored
- Highlight the sound file to associate with this event and click Open - this sound now is tied to the selected Takeoff event (Must be WAV files)
To Disable Sound Events
- For Mouse Users, simply clear the check mark for "Use for mouse also".
- To clear event sounds for Digitizer Users, remove the file information for each entry.
Although On-Screen Takeoff no longer plays a sound for these events, completing a takeoff always generates a system beep. Edit Windows preferences (or simply mute your speakers) to disable all sound events - please review Windows Help Documentation for assistance.
