Condition Types are tags you can assign to similar or "like" Conditions. They help organize Conditions in a logical manner. You can group the Conditions List (on the Image Tab), the Style Library by Condition Type, and data on the Takeoff and Worksheet Tabs by Condition Type so it we encourage you to create Condition Types and assign them when you create Conditions.
To open the Condition Types dialog:
- Click Master > Condition Types, this opens the Master "OK" dialog box or,
- Click on the Lookup tool
next to the Type field in the Condition Properties dialog, this opens the "Select" Condition Type dialog box
To create a new Condition Type:
- Click New - a new line appears in the list
- Type in the name of the new Condition Type
- Condition Types are limited to 50 characters
- Press the <Enter> key to save it to the list
Note
Although Condition Type is not required when creating a Condition, it is advisable to assign one for every Condition and saved Condition Style. Style Sets and the Style Library are arranged by Condition Type and the Condition List, Takeoff Tab, and Worksheet Tab can be grouped by Condition Type. If a Condition is not assigned a Condition Type, it defaults to "Unassigned".![]() | Masters: Style Library and Style Sets ![]() |
