There are four sounds the program uses to signal Accepted Points, Rejected Points, Deleted Object, and Completed Object. Default sounds already exist and are assigned to each event but you can change these to custom sounds.

Setting Sounds

Click Tools > Options > Sounds

Click on the Lookup the lookup button is a magnifying glass that opens the Windows browse location dialog box button for the event to change the assigned sound

The Add Sound window opens - browse to the location where the new sound file is stored

Highlight the sound file to associate with this event and click Open - this sound now is tied to the selected Takeoff event (Must be WAV files)

For Mouse Users, to disable event sounds, simply clear the check mark for "Use for mouse also".

To clear event sounds for Digitizer Users, remove the file information for each entry.

Note

Although On-Screen Takeoff no longer plays a sound for these events, completing a takeoff always generates a system beep. Edit Windows preferences (or simply mute your speakers) to disable all sound events - please review Windows Help Documentation for assistance.
