Employees are any person associated with estimating, tracking, or working on a project. This includes Project Managers, Foremen, and Work Crew (job site laborers).
Your Bid must be assigned a Project Manager and at least one Foreman on the Cover Sheet.
Adding an Employee
Click Master > Employees
Click "New" to add an employee
Enter the following information in the Employee Detail screen:
- First and Last Name
- e-mail address (no apostrophes allowed) required for Project Manager and Foremen
- Employee Number (must be a unique number and cannot be changed if employee is set as Project Manager of Foreman in any Bid in the database)
- Payroll Class
Note
You only have to add an employee once. Once an employee is added to the Master Employee list, you can use them in any Bid in the database.Adding a single employee using the method above is alright, but if you need to add numerous employees, follow the instructions in the next article to import an Employee List.
