You try to generate a report in Quick Bid and either nothing happens or the report is blank.

Cause

Some upgrades to Quick Bid 4.91 may not remove the previous version of Quick Bid correctly. The folder C:\\Program Files\\Quick Bid 4\\Reports may not be updated leaving out-dated report files that do not work correctly.

This only affects upgrades to 4.91 from previous versions.

Resolution

The easiest solution is to remove Quick Bid 4.91, delete this left-over folder and then perform a fresh installation of Quick Bid. Before you begin, verify you have the installation media or have downloaded the appropriate installation file. Contact Support for assistance.

Caution

Only a System Administrator can properly install Quick Bid, if you are not a local administrator on your computer, contact your IT Department or Network Administrator for assistance.<
  • Open Control Panel
  • Open Add or Remove Programs (XP) or Programs and Features (Vista)
  • Locate Quick Bid 4 in the list, select it and click Remove
  • Once that is complete, open Windows Explorer
  • Navigate to the location where Quick Bid was installed - by default this is C:\\Program Files\\Quick Bid 4 or C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Quick Bid 4- if not, check with your system administrator or IT department for assistance
  • Highlight the Reports folder and delete it
  • Double-click the installer file to reinstall the application
