Improvements
- Takeoff Boost™ now more accurately draws:
- Drawing takeoff on the center of walls
- Removing extraneous net areas outside of buildings
Why is this a big deal?
Takeoff Boost™ previously was not doing a great job at aligning walls to what was shown on the drawing. Even if the measurement of the wall was correct, estimators noticed this issue and sometimes lost confidence in the results. Because Takeoff Boost wasn’t meeting our customer’s expectation in how estimators draw their walls, we knew we had to retrain the models to improve this.
This update also eliminates the amount of times net areas are drawn erroneously outside of the building.
Examples
Please note the before and after results below.
| Before | After |
|---|---|
![]() Notice, many of the takeoff segments were drawn next to the indicated walls. | ![]() After the update, the takeoff objects are centered on the walls. |
![]() Again, the takeoff did not align with the plan. | ![]() The takeoff now aligns with the plan accurately. |
![]() Another example of a line drawn next to a wall. | ![]() After the update, the linear takeoff is centered on the wall. |
The lighter green area takeoff should not have been drawn. | ![]() After the update, Takeoff Boost ignores the area outside of the building. |
Again, the light green area should not have been drawn. | ![]() After the update. |
Last example of net area takeoff drawn where it shouldn't have been. | ![]() And after this update, the takeoff is correct. |

The lighter green area takeoff should not have been drawn.
Again, the light green area should not have been drawn.
