Although not exactly a plan markup Capture View is included in the Annotations Toolbar.
There are three functions available using the Capture View:
- Capture Screen to Clipboard (the default function) click the little triangle at the bottom to select one of the other tools... - Copies the current view of the Takeoff window to the Windows Clipboard (takes a screenshot).
- To use this capture open the program into which you want to paste the screenshot (such as Word an e-Mail Paint etc.) and then press Ctrl+V or that program's Paste button to paste the screenshot wherever you want.
- Capture to PDF - You can save the current view of the Takeoff window to a PDF.
- Choose where you want to save the file.
- After you save the PDF you can e-mail it to anyone else even if they do not have access to your Organization or this Project.
- Capture to Image File (jpg jpeg or png) - You can save the current view of the Takeoff window to either a jpg jpeg or png file.
- Choose where you want to save the file.
- After you save the image file you can use it in any program you want for example you may attach it to an e-mail or paste it into a Word Doc or Excel spreadsheet.
Be sure the Takeoff window shows exactly what you want to capture before clicking the Capture View button. You can turn off Layers (System Custom or even Takeoff Item-level) before taking the screen shot to hide information you do not want included.
