What You’ll Need Before You Start

  • A Windows 11 computer (64-bit)
  • Your license confirmed in the Customer Portal (check this before downloading)
  • Administrator access on your computer (you’ll need this to install)
  • An internet connection

Step 1 — Install PlanSwift

If PlanSwift 11 is already installed on your machine, skip to Step 2.

  • Go to the Customer Portal and confirm your license.
  • Download the PlanSwift installer here: PlanSwift Installer Downloads (only v.11.0.0.129 is supported)
  • Right-click the downloaded file and select Run as administrator.
  • Follow the on-screen prompts — the default settings are fine, no changes needed.
  • Launch PlanSwift once installation is complete.

Takeoff Boost is supported on PlanSwift 11 Professional only, it currently is not compatible with PlanSwift Metric or PlanSwift Enterprise.

Step 2 — Install Takeoff Boost™

AI features in PlanSwift — including Auto Count, Auto Scale, Auto Bookmark, and Auto Takeoff — require a separate installer called Takeoff Boost™.

  • Download the Takeoff Boost™ installer here: PlanSwift Installer Downloads (it’s the top row, named “Takeoff Boost for PlanSwift Professional”)
  • Right-click the installer and select Run as administrator.
  • If Windows shows a security warning, click More info → Run anyway. The installer is signed by ConstructConnect, Inc.
  • Follow the prompts — no folder selection needed, defaults are correct.
  • Launch PlanSwift. Go to the Tools tab to find the Takeoff Boost™ ribbon and its features.

Updating Takeoff Boost™

You don’t need to uninstall the old version first, the installer updates in place.

  • Close PlanSwift completely and wait for the Takeoff Boost™ icon in your system tray to disappear.
  • Run the new installer as administrator.
  • Relaunch PlanSwift.

Takeoff Boost™ will also notify you automatically when an update is available. When you see the update prompt, just follow the same steps above.
