You can upload project documents during a new submission or later from the project detail page. This makes plans, specifications, and other files available as part of the project record.

Upload documents during a new submission

During the submission process, use the document upload step to attach files before you send the project for review. If your files are not ready, you can skip this step and upload them later.

Upload documents to an existing project

  1. Open the project from My Company Projects.
  2. Click Upload Documents in the page header or in the Documents tab.
  3. In the upload window, choose the correct area for each file: Plans, Specs, or Other.
  4. Drag files into the correct area, or click the area to browse for files.
  5. Wait until each file shows a Ready badge.
  6. Click Upload or Done.

Supported file types

Source Portal accepts these file types:

  • PDF
  • TIFF
  • DWF
  • DWG
  • DOC and DOCX
  • JPG
  • XLS and XLSX
  • MP3
  • WMV

File size limit

Each file can be up to about 1 GB.

Where uploaded files appear

After upload, documents appear in the Documents tab in the matching folder. These folders may include drawings, specifications, other documents, and addenda.

Troubleshooting upload issues

If a file does not upload, confirm that the file type is supported and that the file is within the size limit. If the upload still fails, try a different browser or clear your browser cache. If the issue continues, contact ConstructConnect support.
