Run Your First Automated Takeoff with Takeoff Boost™ and Get Real Results in Less than a Minute

Takeoff Boost™ automatically detects and measures items on your plans—no manual tracing required.

This guide walks you through running your first automated takeoff.

This feature uses Artificial Intelligence to provide results. It is your responsibility to verify results to ensure accuracy.

Use of Takeoff Boost™ tools requires uploading of some or all of your project plans. Ensure you have the legal right to do so. Please see the following Master Service Agreement for more information.


Before You Begin

You should have:

  • Takeoff Boost must be enabled for your account
  • A project created
  • A plan (or plans) added
  • Page scale set

👉 If not, complete Create Your First Takeoff first.


What You’ll Do

By the end of this guide, you will:

  • Run Takeoff Boost on a plan
  • Review detected Conditions
  • Review takeoff quantities

Step 1: Open Your Plan

✔️ Your plan should be visible on screen and properly scaled


Step 2: Launch Takeoff Boost

  • Click the Takeoff Boost button
  • Choose what you want measured (for example, walls, areas, windows, etc.)
  • Click the Run Takeoff Boost button

Takeoff Boost scans the page and generates Conditions and takeoff automatically.

✔️ A blue banner shows progress (typically ~60 seconds per page)

Step 3: Review Results

  • Conditions are created
  • Takeoff is drawn on the plan
  • Quantities are updated in the Conditions List

Review:

  • Did Takeoff Boost create the expected Conditions?
  • Does the takeoff look accurate?

✔️ Your automated takeoff is ready

Step 4: Adjust Results (If Needed)

  • Reassign takeoff to different Conditions
  • Add missing takeoff manually
  • Adjust takeoff as needed

✔️ You should now have accurate, reviewed quantities

Step 5: Review Results

  • Click on the Estimate Tab
  • Confirm your measurement appears in the list

✔️ Your automated takeoff results are ready to price

Congratulations! You created Conditions and completed takeoff on a full page in under a minute.


When to Use Takeoff Boost

Use Takeoff Boost when:
