Moving your Bid Center projects to your new ConstructConnect organization

What is changing?

Your company is moving from an older license based system to a new email based login for ConstructConnect. This change gives your team:

  • Takeoff Boost’s AI-powered tools in On-Screen Takeoff

  • Unified credentials across ConstructConnect products

  • Better account management for your whole organization in a single place

Because your current Bid Center account lives in a different organization than the one you are moving to, your existing projects need to be shared to your new org before the transition.

For additional information, see: Transitioning from Perpetual to Subscription Licensing.

What do I need to do before I accept my org invitation?

Before you accept any invitation to join your company’s new organization, you must share every Bid Center project you want to keep with your account admin, [Admin Name], at [Admin Email].

Projects that are not shared before you move will remain in your old organization and will no longer be accessible once your account is migrated.

Why do I have to share my Bid Center projects?

Your Bid Center projects are tied to your current organization. When you accept the invitation to join the new org, your user account moves, but your projects do not move automatically. Sharing the projects with your admin moves access to the new org so you can continue working on them after migration.

If a project is not shared before the migration is complete, there is no recovery option.

How do I share my Bid Center projects with my admin?

  1. Log in to Bid Center at constructconnect.com.

  2. In the List or Tab view, locate each project you want to keep.

  3. Share the project in one of these ways:

    • Click the share icon on the project row, or

    • Open the three dot menu on the row and select Share, or

    • Open Project Details and click the share button.

  4. In the share window, enter [Admin Email]. You can share to as many as five email addresses at one time.

  5. Click Send. The project is shared and added to your admin’s Bid Center automatically.

  6. Repeat these steps for every project you need to keep access to.

How do I know I am finished?

After you have shared all of the projects you need:

  1. Review your Bid Center list to make sure every active or important project shows your admin in the sharing list.

  2. Let [Admin Name] know you are finished so they can confirm all needed projects were received.

Your admin will verify the projects and then send your org invitation when everything is ready.

What happens after I share my projects?

Once your admin confirms that your projects are safely shared:

  1. You will receive an email invitation to join your company’s new ConstructConnect organization.

  2. When you accept the invitation, your account will move to the new org.

  3. You will continue to have access to the projects you shared to your admin, and you will gain access to new features such as Auto Count and Auto Link.

What if I accept the invitation before sharing my projects?

If you accept the new org invitation before sharing your projects, the projects will remain in your old organization. Once your account is fully migrated, any projects that were left behind will become permanently inaccessible.

There is no way to recover projects that were not shared in time.

What if I forget some projects or skip a few?

Any project you do not share stays in the old organization. If you no longer have access to that org after migration, you will permanently lose access to those unshared projects.

To avoid gaps, review your Bid Center projects carefully and share anything you may need in the future, including older projects that are still relevant.

When is the deadline to complete this?

Your Admin will communicate your migration window dates. You should share your projects as soon as possible so your admin has time to review and confirm everything before this deadline.

Waiting until the last minute increases the risk that projects will be missed or not confirmed in time.
